Water pump weep hole

Water pump weep hole
Bought this new water pump 2 years ago from Napa auto parts just last week started to see a bit of coolant right below the water pump on a electrical plug. It’s very little just traces of green stuff doesn’t actually hit the ground
looks like it’s coming from weeping hole
now looking on utube and lurking around some say this is normal and not to worry.
Any thoughts ?

From what I've heard, the weep hole is designed to be a warning sign of a failing bearing once it starts seeping. Pull or at least loosen the serp belt and check for play in the water pump shaft to see how bad it is. My old water pump shaft was noticeably shot but was not weeping (at least as far as I could tell).
Probably worth just doing the fan and fan clutch while you're there since those are relatively inexpensive.

It sounds like people had previously recommended a water pump from some Spanish company that had a brass impeller - this was probably 5-10 years ago. Turns out that since then, the company outsourced their manufacturing to China, and pretty much all of the pumps look the same with a stamped impeller. I just grabbed one from Lucky8 for like $40 US. How many miles did you have on the Napa pump?
Here's a shot of my old and new water pumps:
