Took the fan and belt today and water pump is super wobbly. Wow it’s a 2 year old pump at best. Napa won’t take anything back and I can’t find my receipt
the worst part about doing work on s disco is the crappy quality of parts these days.

They're all made in China except for some rare NOS sitting in a box somewhere. They just toss one in a Napa box with 200.00 on it, and the 30.00 Ebay one just gets a generic white or brown box with 30-45.00 on it lol.

The good news is you caught it before it got to bad and possibly did any damage!

10-4 on that
got the uro one from rock auto $62 cdn plus a couple gaskets

I still have my old one perfectly worked fine
but I know that if I call around my local parts suppliers around here to get a new gasket it’s going to be a mission and a half. They are all crap suppliers that couldn’t care less about your business. At least that’s how it looks like
so I just ordered a new one

I recollect a few years ago the pumps with the brass impeller was highly recommended. I replaced it about 5 years ago with one of the brass ones. Definitely higher priced, but I wanted a piece of mind being a Disco owner only for a couple of years. However, I understand the brass ones are no longer available. So, I am keeping fingers crossed my current one will not fail anytime soon.

some on rock auto state metal impelar but I don’t think it’s a issue with the impelars
Breaking its more of the bearings and seals they are using
like mine there is a very noticeable wobble like I was shocked

I've got the Meyle #STC4378 water pump from RockAuto a couple of years ago. It's still holding up very well.
