Default We made it!

I had purchased our discovery in September to use to get to the beach house in Corolla beach as my family has outgrown the geo tracker.

After months of work, mostly thanks to lots of searches and questions on this forum, we made it 500 miles from NJ to NC, then an additional 10 miles on the sand to the house.

The sand roads are flooded and I drove too fast in the water, stalling, but lesson learned!

Thank you to everyone who helped my many questions both now and in years past on this forum! Can't wait for our next adventure!

Great news! My Outer Banks driving has been at the south end of the Outer Banks, Cape Lookout and Ocracoke.

Congrats! Take it from someone who knows, pay close attention to the rear frame saddles between the axle and the bumper. My first truck was a veteran of Island Beach State Park and paid the price. It's already our Achilles Heel, the salt, sand and surf amplifies the problem exponentially. Scrape and recoat the rear section with something to protect it, and often.

Wow yours is CLEAN!

We always go in the shoulder season. As a Massachusetts girl, I cannot handle the south in the summer 🤣
