Default THIS is weird

Hope you like a mystery. Last night, while driving in town, we began to hear a strange loud clattering, seemingly coming from behind the dash. It sounded something like a part trying to escape. After a few seconds, the sound could be heard dropping down and actually was felt rattling under the front passenger's foot. The sound became louder, as if a piece of metal was tied to the axle and clanking LOUDLY with every turn of the wheels. This occurs in drive, reverse, and nuetral, but does not occur in park. I am no mechanic, but upon cursory examination, nothing seemed amiss. Not overheating. AC working. No peculiar lights flashing on the dash. Haven't been off-road recently. Any and all speculation as to the probable cause welcome!

Never mind........never mind. Heat shield came loose and was rubbing against the front driveshaft. Whew!

Soooo......anyone know what size the two threaded studs are that attach the heatshield next to the catalytic converter, right above the front drive shaft? Both nuts fell off.
