Default weird electrical issues

hi all, newbie here! my 98 disco 1 alarm goes off every now and again for no good reason i can tell, tonight after an alarm i noticed the cooling fan cutting on and off only seconds at a time(could not make it do it on my own) and the green trailer light on the dash was very dim but flashing with no beat(ignition off). any ideas?

Read through these and see if maybe your problem is listed.
I too was thinking maybe a bad battery.

Does your alarm have interior motion detection ? My 99 D2 has it and if you leave the windows or sunroof open even a crack, The wind will set it off. They can be extremely sensitive.

are the lights dim at all, or is it hard to start? check all of your connections for corrosion and such. always good to get the basic stuff out of the way in a diagnosis.
