Well my alternator said FU today.
So i'm cruising along on I-10 and out of nowhere a horrible sound under the hood. They diagnose its my alternator. So I buy one from autozone. No joy won't work because my pulley is destroyed from the nut grinding into it. Awaiting my Bosch oem to arrive tomorrow. I will post pix of the damage done. New one for me, looks like a internal bearing failed or something. I love my D2
Well after a failed attempt with one from Autozone. I called British Auto Solutions here in H-town last night and Joe got me a brand new(not refurbished) Bosch oem one this morning. Installed and all is well. Curious as to what is going to fail next lol.
Meh, these things are worry free
Call it luck but minus consumable maintainence I have only had a throttle body heater leak in the last 70k on my '00....like $20. And I'm pretty rough on it... I've had them not fare so well.
Was it a decent deal on new alt? I'm sporting azone as replacement

I've got the same thing. Mine is the seat belt pretensioner. You can clean the connections and see if it makes the light go away, but it is only a temporary fix.
