Default Wet Carpets

Good Evening Lovely People!

I have a Land Rover Discovery 2 (the uplift model) Recently the carpets in the front and back (not the boot) have been soaked.

Both sunroofs and back side windows have been sealed previously and the mechanic confirmed they were fine, he cleared out the drains that lead in to the bottom of the windscreen and we still have water coming in?? The ceiling is completely dry and the carpet in the boot and the wheel arches is dry.

Does anyone else have any suggestions on where the leak could be coming in and any suggestions on drying it out?

Where the sunroofs seal and bolt into the roof can leak too, not just the drains.

@Sarahmills Start with attachment below. I spent days in the pouring rain sorting mine out, I am in the Pacific Northwest so leaks can not be ignored

The hard part is you need to dry it out to know if you have things sorted out but:
  • Do the steps in the attached PDF
  • Check for rust or separation the front gutter corners as well - even if you see nothing too bad. Get it dry, mask it and use a couple of coats of FLEX-Seal spray back about 6 inches inside and outside of the gutter.
  • Check the windshield seal at the top
  • Check your roof rack seals, and roof rack make sure it is good and tight although that generally comes out the front seat belts
  • Worse case you will have to remove the windshield trim and check the windshield seal under there - that trim rarely goes back on so leave that for absolutely last

Clear the drains where the AC drains. There is one on either side of your transmission tunnel. You'll need something long like a coat hanger to poke in there from under the vehicle.

Let me see if I find the picture... It may help.
Found it. The front left wheel well... Behind the hole is the brake pedal, driver feet area, carpet...
