if the issue is the bad sodder on the circuit board causing the three amigos, yes. it bypasses the bad sodder and provides the ground that the circuit needs.

both my '04's had the three amigos coming on intermittently. a key cycle would reset them and shut them off until they popped back on again. i did the Option B work around on both '04's and have no three amigos and i have fully functioning ABS, Traction Control and Hill Descent.

 

that's interesting. any hypothesis on why that fixed the issue? air in the lines? but not sure that would trigger the three amigos.

how long ago did you do the fix?
