Default What is this box??

The lines from the fuel pump connect to it, then run out to the fuel rail. What is it? I can't find it in the rave?

Charcoal cannister. It's an integral part of the evaporative emissions system on your truck.

Looks to be the evaporative canister.

Thanks guys. So if this box was submerged in a river for 5 days and now my truck won't start, I have air I have spark, after replacing the fuel pump, fuel rail, and injectors this would be a likely candidate as my issue?

I could be wrong but I don't believe any fuel lines run into the charcoal canister, only breather/vent lines run into the canister. I doubt that is your problem but you can always check if you like.

Have you checked fuel pressure yet? What are your SES codes again?

That's right. No fuel passes through it. It is environmental crap for vapors.

If you have no fuel always check the crank position sensor and the inertial switch. I'm guessing you had it pulled out of the river so I'd punch the inertial switch first. Passenger side firewall. Push down on it and hopefully you will hear a click.

No liquid fuel passes through it. However, there is a direct line going to the fuel tank. On the other side, where the vent valve is, it's open to atmosphere. I'm not sure if water could get in there, but if it did, it may pull water into the fuel tank when the evap monitor runs.
Maybe you should pull the fuel pump and siphon out all the fuel???
Or did you do that when you replaced the fuel pump?
