SANTA is sending my wife and I to Moab for a 3 day New Years Day stay. This will be the 4th straight New Years Day we have spent wandering around the Moab area in our D1. Little snow in the area this year while a year ago the Moab area was enduring it's snowiest/coldest winter in 50 years. Last New Years we did some seriously deep snow wheeling but didn't get off the beaten path too much as there was just too much deep snow. Ended up mostly snow hiking to many different arches in Arches NP a year ago. Utterly beautiful in the winter with very few people. This year probably mainly easy wheeling to scenic winter vistas and pictograph sites with some short scenic hikes. Probably be another D1 coming from Denver to join us. Moab is quiet and much cheaper than in season.

My girlfriend let me pick out what I wanted out of a craftsman catalog. Based on that logic I bought her a vacuum cleaner, an iron and a broom.....

LR-related gear I received this year:
-40ft mountable retractable powercord reel for the garage
-new lights for the garage
-Husky tri-grip ratchet (for all those tight spaces)

I did introduce my wife to the wonders of Harbor Freight this year and I think she bought every 99-cent gadget she could fit into my stocking... already used the telescoping mirror and magnet to locate and retrieve my pocketknife from under my seat.
