What did you do with your DII today?

oops loved the way they looked on, tough-looking, had to add 50hp, at least
bright side= had time to whip up center caps and they were a cinch. 10 minutes with some plumbing parts and paint and presto. best part I can lose the the spacers, the offset is enough to get my turn radius without them.
I will stick them back on this weekend.. that will give me a week to cruise until gears arrive, so I can see the difference that makes.

Dusty can you upload some more pics of your disco from a distance with those plates installed? I "THINK" I like them and may consider getting some for my truck. Ive seen many a Disco in the UK with simular panels, not sure if they came from the factory like that or were aftermarket but they look good. How much did you pay for them?
I've not been doing anything nearly as fun as you guys, but I did just get down into my engine to replace the HG's, and it all turned out great, to my complete surprise. Replaced the thermostat with a 180* warm weather thermo from AB, which was good because the old one was completely toast. Like the end broke off in the hose when I pulled it out, just completely rotten.
Also changed the TB heater plate, serp belt, belt tensioner, and all gaskets/o-rings that I messed with. And after I finished.... not a SINGLE leak
I still seem to lose about an inch or so of coolant out of my reservoir but I've heard from some guys that that's normal. I hope so. But it sure is nice to get out of my Disco and NOT smell egregious amounts of burning oil for once.
