I'm pretty sure I'm on the "Optima used to be good, but now their batteries suck" bandwagon now. I'm going to have to replace my battery. I did a control run with a different battery and had none of the issues that I have been experiencing with my little under 3 year old Yellow Top.

Installed a TerraFirma 2" lift kit (MD front springs, SLS spacers) All Terrain Shocks.

BUT - the SLS is not happy with me!!! Rear bags are totally deflated and compressor is not running, have an SLS warning light on the dash. I have searched for how to reset the ECU for SLS but have not come up with an answer. I don't have a nanocom - just the ultra gauge.

Edit: False alarm. The vehicle just needed the fusible link replaced for SLS and to be moved a few feet. All good!

Drifted into a snow bank... Will start working on repairs as finances become available. Lost the passenger side mirror, cracked the wheel arches front and rear, caved in the passenger door handle, removed the 'SE7' trim badge, lost the side turn indicator and damaged the rear bumper.

I did Street Wolf's A/C blower motor mod and fix fender intake piece.

Right: Pontiac Left: Land Rover

Swapped the fan to the new motor.

Drilled new holes and fitted it.

Neighbor soldered the wires for me.

New setup blows more than the old and im happy.

Also did the fender intake thingy.

Addition to this story. The battery was in fact bad but the local O'Reilly's replaced it, no questions asked, due to the warranty. So I am somewhat frustrated, but I have a new Yellow Top and it works like champ.

Default Disco 2 Trans Replacement

So the weekend is passed and the truck must wait til the weekend - Hope for no snow as I am not privy to a garage here.

-Followed RAVE manual (THANKS FOR THIS!!) and have the transmission (still attached to gearbox) off the back of the engine. Took finding an engine hoist to pickup and drop engine off its mounts to reach the top bell housing bolts.

_waiting on new (used) transmission (80k) to arrive along with trans oil cooler (mine was cracked at the passenger side stem and leaking juice everywhere- eventually leading to clutch slippage)

_Ill post a question in the forums, still new here, but the bell housing is scratched up where the torque converter has 'grazed it' - is this a sign from the transmission gods?

Take it easy and this resource/website rocks. Hopefully by next monday the truck will be together and back assaulting Colorado!
