What did you do with your DII today?
This was one very sad crash and a very fast Yank racer, sad it ended so bad for him. I never knew him personally but often watched and admired his racing style. Wayne Rainey's Career Ending Crash - YouTube he is still one of the greats on two wheels.
I like Vale Rossi for that reason, he certainly doesn't need the dosh now but races for the hell of it. He even turned down a safer seat in F1 some years ago to continue on bikes. I think he said something like "I'll get into F1 when I'm too old to race bikes anymore"
it sounds like a Vale punchline.
I agree.
Pilsner,
I hate to tell you this but you probably got ripped off. This guy has had a ton of complaints against him with the BBB and if you search around you will find many posts like this one telling how they got screwed.

Hi SS, you obviously take your family commitments seriously with an adult responsible approach. I wish these days I had been far more responsible when I was young with a young family instead of pursuing my reckless, selfish and self gratifying dangerous pursuits which often led to grief. How I managed to stay alive I don't know but like many others it was a small element of skill and a large chunk of luck. Believe me, if I didn't have a good start in life with a priviledged education and some family dosh to fall back on I wouldn't have been so reckless had I had to pay for everything myself. In retrospect I admire, even envy, those that exert self restraint rather than pure self indulgence and have a solid family life.
Like you I've indulged in many 'off the wall' pursuits, rock and mountain climbing, bungee jumps, white water rafting, paracending, flying and a couple of parachute jumps but of all my greatest love affairs were motorbike racing and Caterham 7 racing (upholstered roller skates) both of which were exciting to a fault. The most exciting thing I do these days is char a voile, better known as sand yachting, and cycling.
but I suppose that's something better than nothing

Who's post was that? I don't see it, just like they won't see the bumper.
I'm a big fan of F1 and watched the races for years. I was watching the Italian GP live when he crashed in front of Schumi and the Italian camerament lingered on his crash. I knew he was bad or dead when his head flicked up and then dropped forward, sadly for the last time. Senna was unequalled and a great racer and personality. Even today I watch the Senaa vids with a feeling of sadness. I never saw the Lauda crash live but have seen it on vid, that was horrendous and was a turning point for the into of new safety measures. There have been too many racers killed by fire and it shoyldn't happen. Unfortunately I've seen many of my 'paddock' pals end up dead in bike racing and it's hard to reflect and remember them but it's the racing instinct that makes one continue and also the will to win at all costs.

I do distinctly remember Dale Earnhardt Sr.'s death and I also remember Alex Zanardi's crash. But neither were of the variety of motorsport I followed, so while there was a shock, it was not the same as a fan who followed the sport would have been. Certainly not as much as when Colin McRae passed, albeit in different circumstances altogether.
I didn't do anything with the D2 today, its sitting waiting for some parts to arrive, but I did purchase another rotary powered vehicle.
I ordered a new drive shaft from Lucky8 while they are only $228, and I also ordered an HD U-Joint ($34) to rebuild the rear from them also.
Holy Cow!! I went over 1,000 posts and didn't even know it.
Lets see. I joined Jan-16 2012; 927days ago; So that's 1.1 post a day average. That's 1.1 quality, problem solving, answer to your question, posts a day people.
Not to be confused with Dusty's chat room style 7.6 post a day average.
Just playing.
But seriously Dusty, You've been putting in work on the forum in the last year. I didn't realize that you only joined just over a year ago on 7-01-2013 (only 395 days ago) and you already have 3010 posts and counting.
I thought I was on here all the time, but it seems I'm not alone. I think it's obvious from the numbers that Rovers literally consume and take over our day to day lives while we own them. I'm guessing this is what it's like to be addicted to crack. I need my forum fix 1.1 times a day. Dusty is a full blown junkie at 7.6 hits a day.
