What did you do with your DII today?
That does look pretty damn good! The axe, shovel, and hi-lift look nice on the back like that too. Did you use quickfists for the axe and shovel? One question... where can you lift with the hi-lift? I had thought about one, but couldn't figure out how I would really use it.

Thanks Brandon!
BajaRack sells an axe/shovel mount on their site, I ordered it and the Hi-Lift mount with the rack. I thought it might come in handy to have those things out on the trail. They also use bolts with holes drilled in them that will accept padlocks so those damn thieves will be thwarted.
Currently, the Hi-Lift serves the purpose of being a manual winch. It's not ideal, but it is lighter and cheaper than a winch. Eventually I'll step up to a 3 or 4 ton cable puller, and later still, probably a winch. If I'm just using it to lift a wheel so I can stack rocks or wood or Maxtrax (when I get them), I use a Lift Mate: https://www.expeditionexchange.com/hilift/DSC04319.jpg
If I'm just trying to change a tire, I use the factory bottle jack.
Soon, though, I will install a TJM front bumper, and HLC Fab rear bumper, and rock sliders, so hopefully this will increase it's usefulness.

What is the wind noise like with the new rack and those lights? I've been considering getting a baja rack, but don't want one if its crazy loud on the highway or interstate. Its looking nice, gonna look real good when you get some bumpers put on.

I bought it right from BajaRack. From bajarack.com. You could get one from Lucky8 for $60 cheaper, but it was easier for me to buy it direct from them so I had fewer orders going and less shipping.

Thanks! I'm going to post a full write up on the install and more pics of everything, as well as a post on my blog page.

Actually, the wind noise isn't bad at all with the BajaRack. I was afraid it was gonna be loud too, but it's not bad. I think the wind deflector makes a difference. You don't notice anything up until about 55-60, at which point you only hear a little bit of that "windy" noise. To give you an idea, I can hear the noise of the padlocks on my Hi-Lift jiggling when I hit a big bump over the wind noise. It's a bit more at 80, but at that speed most people have the radio on a little louder to drown out the highway sound anyway. But it's still quiet enough you can easily carry on a conversation. It's not bad in the least.
