What did you do with your DII today?

Installed some driving lights, not wired...-21 degrees-windchill-factor. Heater ran out of propane shortly after getting them bolted up. I'd welded some mounts on the brush guard while making it, didn't think they were going to work out...but they did.
Winds howling, so the picture's a bit blurry on account of the shivering-factor.
Brian.

I get 16-16.5 mpg on the highway with my tired old 4.0. That TD5 getting 22 isn't impressive really. Is that 22 imperial, or us mpg?

It's not a big deal and just thought I'd point it out for curiosity's sake. I have been driving for 30 years though so I'm not new to winters changes on fuel economy.
For fun though and those of you in the states, a litre of premium gas at my local pump here in Toronto is around $1.45CDN. That (per my calcs) approximately $4.24 US per US Gallon. (using .77 exchange and 3.8 l per US gallon)

Wire Loom Saves The Day!
Use wire Loom people! There was no damage to critical wiring or to any hoses last night because all the critical wiring was in wire loom. The loom was trashed but the wiring was all intact as you can see. The fire was cause by a bottle of ATF I had squirreled away under the hood, which slid out of it's spot on to my header, melted, and caught fire. I was very fortunate to be literally 20 seconds from home when I noticed.

Thanks, juke.
I've only had them installed 2-3 months/5k miles since I wrapped them, but they've been holding up fine so far! I've heard of issues with people having them rust out, so I did take them down to bare metal and spray them pretty well with some ceramic exhaust paint. Dunno how much it's helped. That said, I decided even if they didn't last more than 2-3 years wrapped that it was still cheaper than other damage the heat would cause.
