You should have heard that water pump on the Westminster after I ran it up to 215F lol.. It was leaking so bad apparently it's bearing wasn't getting cooled.... It's either that or the PS pump, but whatever it is = not a pretty sound. I called it and got a tow. I've got a spare water pump, but it always shocks me when I see people dump 1.5K into a HG job, and they NEVER replace the parts that actually caused the HG's to fail in the first place aka bad thermostat (original from the factory, OEM radiator, or they leave the TBH on leaking).

Well finally got around to fixing my key and soldering in my new unlock button that had been missing since I bought it. Also painted my fender flares.

You are absolutely correct on good diagnosing. By the way, both the thermostat and rad are find in my case for the time being. I was temped in changing the thermostat at the same time as the pump, but its working fine.

Richard, you need to start a build thread in the build forum...and document the progress. That way folks can follow along and not have to search through numerous topics to find pictures and comments...and they can get answers without asking...repeatedly (like me...lol).

Just notice the open looped recovery points. I've seen these break a few times in winching/recovery situations (two on my 89 YJ). I'd seriously consider changing them to a closed loop...and back-plating the mounting point.

I’ll leave those hooks on but will add some shacklemount at some point. The bumper is 1/4” thick so heavy washers should be enough. I like the hooks for quick easy tugs and to loop extra cable etc
