Ok, so I started driving a few days ago and when I got about 3 blocks from my house my Disco II started lurching back and force, not forcefully but it definately wasn't normal. At the same time the following lights lit up on the dash:

-HDC
-Manual Tran. (Blinking)
-Sport Tran. (Blinking)
-TC
-maybe the ABS as well, I don't recall

It scared the hell out of me so I immediately turned around and drove it home. Once there I turned it off, then back on, and the lights did not light up again and haven't come on since. Driving is back to normal.

Any ideas on what this could possibly have been?

 

I think you were in limp home mode for some reason. As for why I dont know but glad it has returned to normal

 

Maybe not in limp mode, but your tranny ECU went thru a momentary tissey.
What year is your truck, how many miles and when was the tranny last serviced?
