Default what does syn. grease burning smell like?

have a fishy cooking smell coming from under the rig. has been for months and months. it smells like coolant, BUT i dont lose coolant. have no leaks. no air in the system or waterfall dash. no coolant in the oil and no smell from the exhaust.

my thinking is it is grease from the front shaft that has flung onto the hat parts.

can anyone else confirm this as a smell? i think it is but i have been under the rig with my nose to things and before i kill myself from fumes and vapor i figured i would try to confirm.
