i am replacing my crank sensor.mike said when the crank sensor goes out it will not start.but my rover will start when it sat for a while and then it will die after awhile.i would have to let it sit for another while longer to get it to start again.is this also a crank sensor problem? can you explain how all of this works.does it have something to do with the fuel injectors or what.

If the crank sensor fails, it will not throw a signal to the ECU indicating the engine is turning over so the ECU won't trigger the injectors.
