What Fuel to run in 97 Disco?
Where do you live? I am in OK and run 10W40 in summer and 10W30 in winter. If you look in your owners manual it will tell you what weights to run at different temps. The 10W30 should get you ok.
I stumped as to why anyone would continue to ask what octane fuel to run in their Discos...especially when it already says it in the manual. I don't understand why this question comes up so often. Is it me? Am I too insensitive?

I think with gas prices being so high, people want to run the cheapest they can. Most of these people are new owners and new to Land Rovers. Used to their GM's and Fords, where you aren't supposed to run 91. Frustrating when you get a post about the same thing every week and people don't do a search first.....
Every week? It seems like every day. It doesn't matter what kind of car you own and drive, if you go for the cheapest ANYTHING there are certain to be consequences eventually.

Sorry that I asked a basic question...
Unfortunetly when I bought my disco the guy didnt have the owners manual at the time. So I was stumped...my bad.
I'm new here, up until now everything I've owned has been a honda.
