That is a big time luck out, they still had the D2 your driveshaft came out of and they were having a half off sale that day.
Now I have saturated the carpets with cleaners and left the sill plates off with blocks holding the carpets up, hopefully it decides to dry out nicely.

Well there appears to be at least one bright spot on the horizon, I just went for a cruise and for the first time since I bought the truck it didn't smell like stale cig smoke. Just a cocktale of upholstry cleaner, carpet shampoo, and air fresheners

Default Drain the diffs

Might want to drain out the differentials and start with fresh gear lube.

Not really good advice tbh................Hitting ANY water to fast is not a good idea as you just dont know how deep it is or whats lying in there......

The camel trophy drivers didnt OWN their vehicles, if they busted it they would just be given another one........

First rule in offroad driving, AS SLOW AS POSSIBLE, AS FAST AS NECESSARY

With the tires that are on Andy's truck there was not much he could have done.
If you have a good A/T or a M/T tire once you start to loose forward momentum if you start to rock the steering wheel from side to side really fast the sides of your tires will bite into the ground and you can keep moving in most cases, but if you high center like he did then you are done.
If you cant get enough traction to drag your frame and axles through the quagmire then you are dead in the water, this is when you need a winch.

And Panzer is right, think of how you treat a rental car, that is how those Camel Trophy guys treat their trucks.
