I have the option to purchase a 2002 Discovery II SE this week, but I do not know anything about Land Rovers or Discoveries. Is there somewhere for me to read about the common problems on the truck and what to look out for? I know how to check all the general things, like paintwork, rust, etc. I just am wondering what the common problems are on them. All I know so far is that they drink a lot of gas. :b Any help would be appreciated!

Can someone tell me about coil packs and the three amgios ABS issue? Are those common problems?

 

Huge props to the moderator for helping me out and giving me solid advice. Please correct me if I am wrong but the front U Joints where the driveshaft meets the transfer case need to be greased, and that is the main weak point on the truck.
