Default What are my front bumper options?

2002 Silver Disco II with the square fog lamps. Wife some time ago backed up and hooked passenger front bumper edge on a tree stump. Pulled bumper forward about 2 inches. Cracked top black plastic strip, about 5 inches on the top side, near the wheel. I can push back the bumper to re-align it, but there is still a 5 inch hole of missing black plastic. I priced new OEM bumpers with fog lamps for around $675 shipped and a little less without lamps. I need a new passenger fog lamp assembly as well. Apparently it was damaged, filled with water and blacked out from dirt.

I was thinking a parts yard, but I can't locate any online that tells me if they specifically have any Rovers. One site, Pick-N-Pull.com revealed 2 rovers, but earlier 98 models.

Any ideas on what my options might be for something to look nice? Not really looking for custom welded bumpers at this point - just something OEM or close. Ideas on how to find parts yards with my year Rover?

Thanks!

You should get some Q-bond and fix your bumper. It's about $15 a bottle. I used it to fix my rear cracked bumper. I found it at Advanced Auto. I'll take some pics and post them soon.

Q-bond? That's awesome to know about. I could probably do some nice repair work with something like that. We also developed a nice crack on the rear top bumper step that needs closing up.

Thanks!

Not sure if you're interested, but I can provide ARB bumpers. You'd save quite a bit since you're local, too.

Tim,
I may be down the road. This will be my son's 1st car in 2 summers. Right now I am mainly doing overdue maintenance and fixing minor things as I go. I will surely keep you in mind.
