Default What should I get and who is the best source for a Head Gasket kit/set

Im thinking that I am going to try doing the head gaskets on my 2001 D2. Is there an ALL-INCLUSIVE gasket set offered by someone that would have every gasket, seal, o-ring that I would need, and Who/What is the best source for a complete set?

Brian,

You can save yourself some money and obtain a great contact for Rover parts from Will Tillery (www.roverguy.com) - many people on this site have dealt with Will, and I've gotten 2 sets from him. Give him a ring and tell him Steve from Warrenton VA told you to call....he'll hook you up.

That is the set to use, also order a new t/stat. As for the wires, don't buy them on A.B., go to British Parts of Utah and buy the 8mm STI wires for $70.
You might consider flushing out your engines coolant and switching away from the Dexcool going to any of the better green or yellow coolants along with a bottle of either Water Wetter or Purple Ice for much better protection.
Don't forget to lightly lube the new head bolts before installing.

Agreed with the above, EXCEPT get your head bolts on sale for $39 from Rovers North...even with extra shipping from another company they are cheaper.
