What are those hard pastic tubes?
I have a 2000 DSII with a check engine light recently on. Looking under the hood I see two hard black plastic tubes that seem like they should have been secured to the firewall by the heater core. They must have come lose and fallen against the exhaust pipes and melted. Hoping someone can tall me what they are called so I can start searching for replacement tubing or a way to splice etc.
splice with 1/4" irrigation drip line and fittings
the plastic tubes are $30 from AB (including the banjo and bolt), but you can use drip line and it's easy to splice with the barb-ed connectors

Front diff vent is on the left side by the break booster. Heater core pipes are on the right side... Some of those tubes do run from the left side on the firewall to the right side for the EVAP purge valve, possibly that?
Seems a picture and a trouble code might help solve this issue?

Thanks everyone fro the replies. I assume I need to determine if they are for the evap or the vents before I can order them from AB. Not familiar with drop line, is this something I can pick up at the local parts store?
Hardware store, Home Depot, etc. Drip line with an I. It's for drip irrigation systems.
Ok got under the truck yesterday found three lines. Two seem to be vent lines maybe the transfer case? I spiced into them and ran them back up the firewall think I found a plastic clip that they belong in on the firewall near the heater core. Now the question is what's the deal with the third? it comes down under the truck with the other two hits a plastic retaining clip(photo) then just stops. Can anyone point me to a diagram etc that might provide some insight. The metal clip on the third line seems to be there to hold it against a thin piece of metal or plastic.
Thanks
Thanks

Don't worry about the tubes and don't worry about adding extensions to the tubes unless you plan on going thru water 3' or deeper.
Have you had your codes read, if so, what are the actual fault code numbers?
