Default Drain tubes

Do they serve any purpose besides draining the water from the rain gutters?

I am sick of reattaching them, if they only give rain water an "easy" escape, then I am going to silicone them shut today. What a stupid F'n idea. Sooner or later the tube comes off and every Disco will leak.

Those are the sun roof drain tubes you are talking about and can not be removed. Time for a little sealant.

As always, thank you Sir.

I really think the majority of water I get in the cabin is from it running down the rain gutters to the drain tube hole. No?

I don't see how water on the gutters can get inside the cab.

I don't see how water on the gutters can get inside the cab.
It runs down the gutter to the square hole at the top of the windshield. Then instead of it all going down the drain tube (when connected) it makes it's way into the headliner above the passenger oh chit bar.

I don't want to pull the headliner down to fix this. Again.
