That's your center differential lock indicator.

What year is your DII?

Just in case you have a mis-wired connector somewhere, check brake fluid level. The RAVE circuits manual shows the wiring routed thru a header connector in the center console, where spilled drinks do strange things.

the top one ! is probably the brake level sensor.
Put in some brake fluid.

The bottom one is for the CDL.
You should not see the H CDL light if not in CDL.

Check the operation of your brake lights, with your headlights switched on. Never seen it with the CDL light, but if you have a bad ground for a tail light, it will usually light up the rear fog light indicator.

Brake fluid is low. When you step on the pedal fluid is drawn from the master cylinder causing the level to drop below the sensor limit. When you release the brake, the reservoir fills back up just enough and the light goes out.

If your break fluid is low and you have no leakes then check your pads, both front and rear. If you were to put fluid in then notice you need to change your pads then when you compress the pistons back your new break fluid will spill out every where and it it's not great for the paint work on the bulkhead.
When did you last check your your pads and rotors? As the pads wear down then the fluid will drop accordingly. Its a closed circuit so low fluid is an indication you going to need to look at your breaks. my $0.02

Hi Guys thanks for your replies.

The top light as i said in my initial post is the for the hand brake (parking brake) and goes off when i release it.

The issue is the bottom light which as i now know thanks to you is the Center Diff Lock. The light also comes on when in reverse, im guessing it could be a wiring problem.

Any suggestions?

The CDL light is controlled by a mechanical switch that sits atop the transfer case. You say, it also comes on in reverse? Hmmm? Most of the time those lights don't work when the CDL is engaged...
