Question What would happen?...

I own a 2000 disco II, and just yesterday one of my airbags, driver side, got a leak on it, i could hear the air scaping, now i've been browsing the web to find the best deal in airbags and seems it would be cheaper to go springs, then i have to take it to a dealership to reset the slab computer, what if a just disconect the compressor, what will happen?....

I hope you'll are enjoying the weekend....

If you go to coils (not best idea imo) then you have already answered your own question, the car needs to be "told" its on coils etc, so you need a diagnostic session to set the SLABS ECU to a coil sprung vehicle so you get no warning lights on the dash.

Imo, get 2 new airpsrings and fit those and keep the SLS as its a GOOD thing.

Arnott industries sell D2 airsprings with a lifetime warranty.

If you got to springs and un hook the compressor you will get a warning light on the dash.
BUT, it is a one time fix.
Fix it and forget it, have the dealer reset the SLABS unit, if I remember right Atlantic British sells a DIY kit to reset the SLABS unit.
