The second engine I ever rebuilt was a straight 6, a AMC six to be exact.
The first was a Briggs & Stratton engine.

 

My first rebuild was B&G lawn mower engine in a high school mechanics class. It became a basket case because I was more interested in goofing off than putting the engine back together. The second and third engines I rebuilt were the diesel engines in my 85 GMC 3/4 ton. Rebuilt the engine the first time and then it threw a rod so I replaced it with a crate motor. Rebuilt the crate motor after I drove through a pond too deep and too fast so the wake came back over the hood and in the intake.

 

i think briggs are a first for eveyone, fill the head with mig aluminun, that sand it on a bench on top a marble tile, coem up with a rediculous exhaust pipe like th downtube from your faveorte bike. fill the 3.5 with 117oct and whatch it scream around you nieghbors yards, blowing flames out the pipe. thoses were the days.....

1987 Dodge Raider, looks like a smaller discovery.

 

1953 Ford, six cylinder, automatic, 4 door. That thing wouldn't get out of it's own way, but man what a back seat it had.
My wife claims that it still had dealer tags on it, (not quite).
