As many things that are wrong here in America, it is still a great country. I can own a gun just for the sake of owning one. I have 2 shotguns, a Ruger .22 Carbine with a scope and a 50 round magazine and my handgun. I used to have a 7mm rifle from the Korean Army that I bought from a dead guys family. Bought it for $50, ran 20 rounds through it, then traded it for my handgun, holster and 50 rounds of ammo, even up. ($380)
I dont hunt anymore, used to, but then I discovered girls and the hunting went to the way side. Hunting two legged deer was way more fun than hunting four legged deer.
The good thing about living in the UK, if you do get shot by a bad guy then hospital is free.

The Pride of the Fleet is my Springfield Armory M1A/M14. I've got three 20-round mags in a battle pack hanging in my closet, with the rifle next to my bed.

i live in louisiana... so as far as the gun in my truck goes... no problem, here your vehicle is considered an extension of your home... and just recently legislation was passed so that even if you go onto a site with a "no weapons" policy they cannot force you to remove the weapon from your car... i still do if i go to some of the bigger refineries around the south, they get a bit **** at times... but i have been pulled of by state troopers and my cousin and i both had our pistols in the truck, his under his console and mine in the passenger door pocket, both chambered and on safe... the trooper asked if we had weopons in the vehicle we told him yes, and handed them both to him, he inchambered a catridge from each and handed us our guns and mags seperately, then proceded to warn us about speeding and told us to have a nice day... i love louisiana...
