Default Wheel Check

Looking at some rock crawler type wheels and I wanted to get the blessing of people who have dealt with this before. I don't really want the NATOs out of personal preference but the stock wheels are just not my cup of tea. They look nice just not impressive or unique. I just got the truck this month and the tires are really brand new in the last year currently on my stock OEM wheels.

Yokohama Geolandar H/T-S G051
P255/65R-16 106S OWL
@ $170-$200 each x 5 = $1000.00 ish

I dont want to replace them to conserve and they are really quite nice MPG wise so.... I found a similar but non NATO wheel.

Wheel is black steel like the nato but is 5x4.75 16" 8" wide 5 offset (16x8 5x4.75 5"BS). I peeled away the 3 rover forums Im on and didnt find any stickies or indepth offset range questions. Not a pro on fittment but what is the actual land rover range on width and offset. Will the existing tire sit nicely (fittment sites show it does fit I believe) and will the wheel/tire clear well on turns and not hit any equipment when mounting?

I dont mind some protruding tire out of the wheel well btw. I plan to get 5, so I assume it will fit the spare mount as well?

Its mostly for looks and will be going through all year but also midwest winters with this combo.

Is this for a Disco I or II? a 255/65 is a 29" tire, quite small.

What are you going to be using the truck for, I know you said rock crawler, but unless you are putting $4000 to $6000 into it, it ain't going be be a rock crawler.
What year is the truck, what size tires are you thinking about and with how tall of a lift?
You will still need to do a lot of drive train work, HD axles, Lockers and gears for starters, then you have the extra parts needed to enhance whatever height lift.
How many miles on the truck? Might want to consider first reading and doing my entire major service list including the rebuild or replacement of the front driveshaft then think about the other stuff after going out with a few Rover people on some good trails.
You are in way too much of a hurry.

Just for looks guys, not planning to do any more crazy work on it, 157k on truck, just want to know if I can get the wheels on the truck without hitting brakes for normal use. Everything else is pretty much stock

Mike already doing driveshaft and service updates, all in progress as we speak

How big a tire are you thinking about, how tall a lift?

If you are going just for looks and no lift and no bigger tires (right now) I know Pro Comp makes some really nice looking black steely's for a reasonable price they have several off set options.

Pro Comp Rock Crawler Steel Wheels - Gloss Black, Cast Blast, Polished, HD Chrome, Flat Black

Not changing anything but the wheels/rims, tires are staying the same. Really need to know if anyone knows the max offset and max width I can used on the disco 2. Tire fittment online shows tire and rim combo will fit already.

5x4.75 16" 8" wide 5 offset (16x8 5x4.75 5"BS)

Yep that's all Im doing. Do you know the min/max offsets and widths I can do for the disco 2? Im gonna have to browse the site and see if I find something better than my current choice though. Just want to make sure it will fit well and what parameters I have to work with. Much appreciated

Before going for wheels, you might consider the fact that your truck is about 1.5"s lower to the ground then when new. Think about at least replacing the shocks and realisticly the coils and then going to a 245/75/16 which will really look good.
Have you already rebuilt/replaced the front drive shaft?
