that sounds pretty cheap for mounting and balancing 22's, but hey i am not complaining.

 

Well a tire is a tire, I dont know why 22"'s would be more expensive to mount than a 16". Unless they charge you more because they think that if you an afford $2000 in rims and another $2000 in tires that ou can afford more for mounting.

 

that logic wouldn't surprise me, if that was their reason. Not sure if because of the bigger size wheel, that not every shop has the ability to mount such a big wheel, and because of that fact they will charge more to do it.

 

When I drove cement truck the tire guy wouldtake a tire off the truck and put a new one back on the truck with the rim still bolted to the axle. It was crazy cool.

 

When I popped the beads in Pismo it cost $25 to re-mount the two tires and balance three wheels, since the spare was never balanced.
