Where does this plug go?
I recently purchased my 01 Disco II. This forum is great and I have had a few questions answered already. Here's my next one:
I was taking a very close look around under the hood as I am getting ready to replace the ignition wires based on feedback here.
I noticed this plug under the power sterring housing in a holder and from looking at the passenger side it looks like it goes to the brake sensor in the wheel. The left sensor has a wire that comes up and goes into the firewall. I removed the kick panel and traced the wire into the center dash. It goes under a metal bracket, so there is no way to get a plug under that bracket without removing some dash components. I can tell it has been replaced as it is clean and not covered with road grime.
I am scratching my head on this one. I have attached a picture of the plug.

Thats an ABS sensor wire. "originally" the repair to a faulty ABS sensor was to fix it from that plug down to the wheel sensor, how ever the "later" repair was that the new sensor came with a very long lead and was wired directly from the hub all the way into the car and up to the SLABS ECU.
So I would "assume" you car at some point in its life has had an ABS sensor fault and hasbeen fixed by the dealer using the "later" method.
