I hoped into my '03 Disco today and went to Lowe's to buy some lumber and spent some time browsing around and when I exited the store and got to my car I pinched the button on the key fob to unlock the door only to realize that my key blank had fallen out somewhere along my shopping trip and I now only had the alarm fob! I was wearing some running shorts with no pockets so I had carried my keys in my hand with my wallet while I shopped.

Retraced my route several times with employees wondering what I was looking for as I scanned every inch of concrete floor as well as the parking lot area but
to no avail. Finally had to call my wife and ask her to leave work early to bring me the spare key set from home.

3 hours at Lowes... What a day!

 

Had this happen on vacation but we were home when we noticed it missing, now i'm stuck with the manual. Jneil
