Alright, thanks guys...no disclaimer needed...just wanted some insight.

Going up into Maine next week so long road trip with some light offroading on the logging roads up there. Keep your fingers crossed..

Thanks as always for the insight....

Long road trip with a knocking noise from the torque converter area? Man, you have bigger cajones than I. Just driving 5 miles to work with an unknown noise is enough to freak me out.

I thought the issue was a whining sound not a knocking sound. If you have knock that I wasn't hearing I would be trying to figure out the problem before going anywhere with it.

I have a knocking in and around trans/TC...it happens on acceleration and when I put the car in gear from park. Goes away at speed...Its had it since i bought the truck 6 months ago.

Getting it looked at tomorrow, I has posted a couple of threads on it and didn't get to much info. Thinking it could be the TC bolts loose or the Flex plate...it doesn't affect the truck at all as it runs great otherwise so we will see. i will post a new thread after I have it looked at on sat and see if I can get it on video...
