Who in the Hell - Disco Mike?
I would like to say thank you, I am located in Canada. Disco Mike gave me a call to help me through the "my rear air bag issue" in my Discovery II. His advice and where to buy the parts was perfect.
Now I have had some issues with engine codes and the "dreaded spark plug and wire changing"...he called me, once again, in Canada. He helps you with a smile in his voice.
He told me what parts to use etc, once again...perfect advice. It is nice that in this "internet world" there are genuine people trying to help other people out there.
I am sure there are others on these forums, but I have not met you yet. Just thought I should share my positive experience on this forum.

Mike is an incredible person. I just talked to him on the way home from work. I don't get to talk to him near as much as I did before I started working again but I still call him on a regular basis. I am very honored to consider Disco Mike a friend.
I bought my 01 Disco on blind faith that I could, with help from this Forum (which may or may not be Disco Mike), fix anything my Lady wants to throw at me. I will ante up the first $100 in cash to his favorite online source for parts.

Yes yes, I deeply praise the expertise of Disco Mike. He also helped me today with the spark plug job. Of his many years of experience, he suggested to apply a dab of oil to the +4 plug because mine was stuck and ruining the thread.
You also can't learn if you do not try yourself. Just got done with the spark plug job, took me 8 hours with a break in between. Not bad for someone who only drive cars and not fix them. Just got some busted knuckles and scraped arm.

Disco Mike has been a great resource for me as well. A great wealth of knowledge and an enthusiastic personality. He even sent me a series a pics so that I might build a replica of his awesome bumpers.
I was at work the other day and I got a voicemail from mike, he called me back after I went to AB and was buying a Brake rebuild kit, needed his advice on brake fluid they sell.
so its the following day, i called him up , and on my lunch break he walked me thru the last 3 things on my 60K service, Transmission flush, power steering flush, and brakes....
nice that he could get right down to brass tacks and save me ten minutes for much needed sandwich and gatorade to make it thru the day... Hail DiscoMike!
