Arrow Who wants my Disco?

Can anyone tell me where the best place to sell my 2000 Disco AS IS in Colorado Springs? It needs a water pump, radiator and brakes. Engine is good... had head gasket job last December. Interior and exterior are both good. Would be great for someone looking for a project or parts.

Those repairs can be done in less than a day, why sell it?

water pump - easy to replace - $50
brakes - even easier - $60
radiator - probably a PITA and it's expensive but you can pick up a used one.

these repairs do not warrant selling the vehicle

Radiator is about $250 and say 2 or 3 hours to replace, a pita job but not difficult at all. Actually if you pull the radiator and then replace the water pump your life will be easier. These all can be knocked out in a day of leisure.

Default Radiator Pricing

I know a few guys of a few guys on the forum who have had good luck with a $120 radiator you can get from a shop that sells on ebay, even cutting costs further.

Even if you don't want to keep the truck, you would probably be better off selling the truck with the work done rather than as is.

I'll take it off your hands if the price is right. However, I would recommend fixing the issues and selling it for a decent price as everyone else has said. That's all I would do with it anyway.

PM me your asking price and contact info if you really want to sell it.

how bad is radiator leaking? some stop leak might be a temp fix, not ideal but if you're on a tight budget it could get you by.

Don't use stop leak! PM me and I can tell you why. I picked up a radiator on EBAY, new with lifetime warranty for $125 as I recall. works great. Like others have said, with the head gaskets done, the items that you need to fix are relatively easy to do and should cost you more than $400 in parts. Find a wrecking yard and pick a radiator for $50 and buy a new water pump, install them and let the new owner do the brakes. Phil

Put it on KSL.com. That's where I get and sell all my stuff. There is a 01 with a busted front drive shaft and a bad transmission for $800.
