Yeah and most of them think the smoke detector in the house is a "cooking timer"

The inerita switch should activate because the truck ran out of gas. I still think he needs to test for power to the pump.

I let my ex drive my truck once and only once. I won't be making that mistake again. She could barely manage to put steady pressure on the gas and nearly took out my neighbor's basketball hoop (?!?!?)

I put my money on it being a burned up pump. the pump is cooled by fuel. When run low and empty the pump will get hot and when run completly out it is common to burn up the pump also.

A few of questions. Is the pump 12 dcv? To test the pump am I applying power to the black and red leads on the pump? To remove the pump is the black ring press on or does rotate to remove? To test the leads coming from the harness again are these the red and black and Are they 12DCV? I did test it with a 12dcv test light, had my daughter turn the key couple of times, no power. The truck is home now thanks to AAA!

Many Thanks

O.K. guys, burn out pump and replaced. The inerita switch did not want to reset so I took it off shook it around and got it to work. Up and running $300.00 later for a 5 min. stop at the gas station and a day missing with it!

Many Thanks everybody

Congrats on getting her back on the road, hopefully your wife will pay more attention. I think I have finally got my wife's head in the game. Since I started to DIY she has appreciated things more.
