Hi guys, with Summer right around the corner and coming up quick my 2003 se7 is pretty much ready to go mechanically, but the exterior needs some work and I ordered some 2in' fender flares, going to get some tires, and I really want to replace the worn original Factory brush guard that i dont like.

I found one I like from lucky 8 for about $1,500 with shipping included has a 12,000lb pound winch and Recovery hooks included and I'd like to buy it but they said on the phone it weighs 200 to 300 lbs something like that? Now my main concern is that the weight will cause the front of my truck to sag and I'll have to replace the original shocks or something like that.

does anyone have any experience with how these trucks handle these steel brush guards?? Il include a pic

by how much would you say? like is it always advisable to lift it to put on something like this

 

Heavier springs are recommended, but you pretty much have to lift to get heavier springs.

If you're doing new tires anyway, now is the best time to lift your rig of you ever plan to.
