02 disco 2 ..i replaced the cps 3 time after a day or so problem comes back ...any thoughts ..?

 

How much gas in the tank? I had a failing fuel pump. Would run great full. And stall/crank a ton before starting,not start etc when under half.

New pump starts right up. Run great

Checking fuel pressure was a pain but will show if that's a possible issue.

 

Is the starter working? I ask as I had a problem when the thin wire to the starter fell off and it seemed to have a flat battery, the AA man tried to jump start it but no luck so recovered it home, next day the wire had come off

 

Had this issue for while ..sometime it starts some time it does not ... Was reading it could be the cam shaft sensor ?

 

Good point on the starter. Does it crank/turnover and not fire? This is what i assumed.
If its not cranking yah. That's a whole different direction to troubleshoot

 

It cranks just will not turn over

 

Not throwing any codes? I was getting lean codes as well with the fuel pump as the issue.
Might be worth while to check for power at the fuel pump as a start.

 

There is relay under the hood on of the yellow ones, the are all the same Check fuse 23 and swap relay 1 and 3 - I believe the the one for the headlights washers. That will at least confirm the relay and fuse are good.

Then check all of your ignition fuses and relays there a lot of them
