I would think if the lug patterns are the same it should "fit" but unless I am mistaken the D2 has bigger wheels I believe they went from 16" on the D1 to 17" on the D2. so it may be too small in diameter to cover the hole wheel and look a bit funny.

I cant say this for sure just my thoughts.

looks like I was wrong about the larger wheels on the D2 the 18 inch wheels were an upgrade and the 16 inch wheels were the normal stock size

here is something to think about:
http://www.roverparts.com/Parts/STC8486G.cfm
and
http://www.roverparts.com/Parts/STC50069G.cfm

both look the same (actually the exact same picture) however the D2 version is $20 more and they do not appear to be interchangeable, also the cloth style covers say loose fit on the D1 which would make me wonder, and finally the plastic cover that you are showing does not list as fitting on a D2 according to AB.

Thanks for the input. I found one exactly like the one that I posted for $20. It was originally for a 2002, but yeah, 02's have 16's and the 03's have 18's, so it probably won't work. Anyone know where to get one like the picture I posted that will fit an '03???

I don't believe they made one that design that will fit an '03. The problem here is that a D1, which that was made to fit, had a steel spare which was recessed from the sidewall of the tire, so that cover sat down in the wheel, flush with the tire. All D2's have matching alloy spares, especially an '03 SE like yours and mine that have the 18" Hurricanes. I too really like that center cap, but it won't work.

All DI's came with 16" rims.
DII's came with both 16" and 18" rims, depending on the trim level.
That spare wheel cover will not fit a DII 16" rim because the bolt pattern is different from the DI to the DII.
I have one of those spare wheel covers in my garage.
