Just bought myself a Disco 2 but it comes with Desert Hawk H/T tyres which are a road tyre and I'm looking for something more suitable for off road

I've found a set of Coopers discover a/t on gumtree but they are listed as from a Range Rover they are complete with rims sized 245/75r16

 

Are you lifted? Yes, they'll fit. If you have a lift they'll look a little small.

 

Were the wheels pulled off of a Range Rover, or just the tires? There are some Range Rover wheels that will fit on a stock Disco 2, for instance mine had 20" RR wheels when I bought it. I haven't personally seen any 16" RR wheels that go on a Disco 2 though.

I am running 245/75r16 BFG KO2s on my stock height Disco 2. I had to slightly modify the wheel well liner at the front to keep from scrubbing when turning. The guys at Costco tire refused to mount them on the vehicle because they said they scrubbed the radius arms at full lock, but I wasn't able to replicate that. I love the size of the tires. They fill the wheel well better without looking out of proportion.

 

Base 95-02 4.0L (vs 4.6L HSE) Range Rover's had 16 inch wheels.

 

Thanks for the replies, there are no lifts in the body (yet), somewhere down the line I'm thinking about adding a 2" lift and getting 32" wheels, but for now I was hoping to find a cheap set of tyres and rims (from gumtee maybe) that I can use until I can scrape together the funds to do the job properly

 

What year Range Rover? Can you share a picture or two? Can you share the Gumtree link?Some Rangi wheels will fit your Disco just fine and some will not.
