Default Will this tow hitch fit on my Disco II?

Hi folks,
I have recently acquired a 1999 Disco II (4.0 V8), on the back, under the back bumper, was fitted a tow hook and electrics for a caravan.
I bought a spacer and a new hitch, with a drop pin. But I'm beginning to think that it'll not fit...
What do you reckon? and what do you reckon my options are...
I wanted to change the original hitch to the drop pin to make attaching a tow rope a bit easier.
Thanks
Richard

Pics 1 & 2 show existing setup.
Pic 3 shows the new bits

No on either one, the first one is for a D1 not a D2.

That is a pic of his trk and that is the current set up Mike.
If the bolt holes line up I do not see why it wouldnt work. No it is not the proper tow hitch, but if it does what you need it to...go for it.
Here is a pic of the correct trailer hitch, not sure where you can get one from though.

That is a proper Land RoverDisco 2 tow hitch Part NO ANR6643, granted is not a removable US spec one that you guys are used to, but "over here" thats one of what "we" have, The"Dixon Bate" 3500kg Tow ball and pin setup is whatI have to, Land Rover sell them as Genuine parts in Europe, it WILL def work.

I went the opposite way and fitted anNAS spec tow hitch as I like all the "options" you can have, + its completely removable for off road use. Its the "easiest" way to add a GOOD recovery point to the rear of a Disco 2. Heres my ball and pin setup with removable drop plate.
