Also check if the motor came loose from the actual regulator. When it does that the gear can bind, keeping it from moving. It happened to me once, same exact symptoms.

I assumed my window channel was bent, my driver's door just eats regulators and motors. They just get slower. I tried TF, Britpart, and now an OEM I have in there. They're quick for about a week, then take twice as long as the other windows.

I had mine fail, just took it apart to replace it. The inside was all rusty and contaminated. I got a new motor to replace it, will silicon the connections pre-emptively.

Does anyone know if it matters where the position of the regulator is when you install the motor? Does the motor have a stop in it that i need to align w either the top or bottom of the window travel? Or, can I just install it and it will sort iteslef out?

Thanks

That’s a really good question. I think the BCU figures it out. If that’s not the case I was just lucky in September when I did mine.

Ill see if I get lucky this week when it warms up and I can put it back together.

I have a couple PVC pipe in the door holding up the window right now, the flex in the pipe is helpful to hold tension on window.

There is no need to align/calibrate the window motor gears to regulator assembly teeth. I believe there is some sort of internal limit switch(es) or a load sensing switch within the motor to identify the top and lower window position once you bolt the window glass to the regulator assembly.
