Exclamation Worm Motor for Window mechanisms all the same?

Well I have a question... are the motors for the window mechanisms all the same? I took off the motor form window regulator which is shot on my 03 Disco and upon inspection realized I could also remove the motor from the worm gear quite easily... since its more difficult on ebay to find an exact passenger side motor with grear, can I just remove the motor from any of those windows and install it on the passenger worm grear? it is in great shape but motor looked like it had water in it at one time, was chewed up and one of the bushings fell off when taking the 2 phillips screws that healed it on.... hmmm

You might also enjoy salvage yards near you that allow you to pull the parts.

Anyone Likes? lol Part # 1278, Radial Ball Bearing With Integrated Handle AKA Keychain Bearing on KMS Bearings, Inc.

Im thinking of using these to modify window lift mechanism... should never be an issue again! also should be easier on motors! if price is right!

Consider this https://landroverforums.com/forum/di...ndow+regulator

Most of the forces are moving the guide left / right in the channel, with contact area of the plastic roller rather small, considering that vehicle is intended for people to slam on rough trails with wreckless abandon.. I've used these from Home Depot for a year with no issues. The square simply slides left/right, the hub rotates inside the the teflon square, and the rail channel prevents the square from expanding. You can also purchase machined brass ones, and plastic ones cast by a forum member in Oklahoma, I believe he has sold over 500 of them, and no RTV was used in the product.
