Default Window Problem

My front windows are not working, rears work fine, but the fronts do not. They were working Wed. and all I did was install my CB yesterday. If you press the button you hear a clicking noise but nothing happens. It is both front windows.

You will find good schematics in the circuits manual which is part of the RAVE for your vehicle (the Rover shpop and owner manual set). Along with photos of connectors and loactions.

Thanks, I did download the RAVE Manual before I started the CDL. So I will check there.

C0552 is the earth (ground) header that is common to the two up/down switches. May have been disturbed. Pix attached.

The motors direct tie to the BCU.

The fuses involved are F13 in engine compartment box, and F29 and F34 iside the truck.

Found the problem. I used a Add-a-Fuse to connect my CB and used the window slot. I only put a fuse in for the CB and not one for the Window, there are two slots for fuses. I put another 30A fuse in and bam, it works perfectly.

Good deal on using a fuse for new gear, some skip that point and one day bad things happen and you have roasted Rover.

Yeah, Rosted Rover does not sit well. I try to do things right the first time, saves head aches later.
