window roller ?

window roller ?
99 disco II
Ok so have the broken plastic roller syndrome. window would not go down so just pulled off the panel and found the roller in pieces. I see all sorts of clever fixes so I have just one question......the best way to get at the roller with the window up? wont' budge more than a half inch from the top and is jammed from there. do you just unbolt the assembly and let it drop and fix?
