Default How to fix your window roller for 50 cents....

I took two quarters and cut each out in the U shape that you see, with this method you don't need to drill anything out.

I just pushed two quarters with those shapes against themselves, the part you don't see is I put a copper plate up under the quarters and bent the corners of the copper so the quarters don't come apart.

Works great! Window fixed. 50 cents and an hour and a half.

Good write up and clever solution. On thing that I noticed is that the quarters don't roll like the plastic wheels they just slide back and forth, am I right or wrong.

You're right, I just greased them up real good. When I did my test on it, the plastic rollers didn't roll either, they just slid back and forth. Thanks!

Yeah, you are right the plastic ones don't roll even though they are suppose to. That is probably why they have such a high failure rate.
