WINDOW VERTICAL RAIL ADJUSTMENT??

WINDOW VERTICAL RAIL ADJUSTMENT??
Hi,
I'm goint to be installing a new window regulator on my Drivers Door. I have asked about possible problems with this operation, however I need to address the alginment issue.
There are two vertical rails that guide the window up and down.
Without the regulator I can Push Down and Pull Up on the window with my hand, and by doing so, I discovered that there's a little resistance, and that when the window is almost at the top, about two inches from closing, there's a little unusual loosness, It can move about half an inch forward and half an inch backwards, maybe less, but still.
Can these rails come out of place?
Can they be readjusted thru some adjusting screws?
Appreciate any help,
Edgar
