i snapped off the plastic nipples that connect the washer hose to the washer jets last summer. i am just now getting around to replacing the jets that shoot water on the windscreen.
when i activate the front washers, i do not hear any motor. i also dont see any water coming out of the disconnected hose from under the bonnet. My front wipers work and the rear wiper and water jet works. Could someone please offer some advice on what i should check?
The headlamp washers won't come on until a certain criteria is met. The ignition has to be on in the II position, headlamps on, and then it only does it every third time.
I forgot to mention that the you can buy both nozzles with the hoses that attach to the one way valve behind the grille from lucky 8 realitively cheap. It's only a few buck more than just the nozzles themselves
OP -- did you check that the hose is still connected to the reservoir bottle behind the fender? Mine came off at one point and I spent ages trying to track down splits and disconnected wires.
Op- sorry for the misunderstanding on my part. It looks like you can check fuse number 19 to see if it is blown if not here are a few pages from the rave on what to look for and how to access the windscreen pump again somsorry for the misunderstanding on my part
Thanks for this info! I've been tending to my flu-ridden family all day. This info is helpful...i did confirm that my headlight washers are still functioning...and my original post referred to an issue i was having with the windscreen jets. i will check fuses and connections. Thx!
